Nicole L. LaMora, DVM
Dr. Nicole L. LaMora, owner of the Brunswick Veterinary Hospital, attended The Ohio State University and graduated with a B.S. Degree in Animal Science in 1996. After several years working as a Diet's Specialist for the El Paso Texas Zoo, and also as a Customs Inspector and dog handler for the Department of Homeland Security Dr. LaMora was admitted to Texas A&M’s College of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.
After practicing small animal medicine for several years at area hospitals in 2012 Dr. LaMora decided to take her love of animals on the road and started The Mobile Pet Vet. Today The Mobile Pet Vet has evolved and is now the Mobile Unit of the Brunswick Veterinary Hospital. Dr. LaMora not only still makes house calls, but there is also a full service hospital to take your pets to when the need arises (surgery, x-rays, etc.).
As a veterinary practitioner, Dr. LaMora's top priority is to provide quality care to her patients. She likes helping people and pets with their problems and enjoys the detective work that goes into the more difficult to solve cases. Equally important to her are the relationships she creates with both her patients and their owners, and she enjoys helping to strengthen the bond we have with our pets.
Dr. LaMora is married to her husband of 18 years, Brandon and they recently welcomed a little boy into their lives in June 2014! They also currently share their house with 6 horses, 1 donkey, and 7 goats! She enjoys horseback riding, cross stitching, reading, and spending time with family, friends, and pets.
Wendy Buhrmaster, DVM
Dr. Wendy graduated in 1985 with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University. She has had a long and varied career, which has included both small animals (dogs and cats) as well as equine veterinary medicine. She has worked in small animal general practice and in emergency medicine which makes her a well-rounded addition to the Brunswick Veterinary Hospital!
Dr. Buhrmaster joined our staff in the fall of 2016 and has quickly become an important and valued team member. She enjoys working together with owners on complicated medical cases and demonstrates her deep love of animals on a daily basis. She is delighted to be working for Dr. LaMora and with the hospital’s wonderful staff.
Dr. Buhrmaster’s free time is spent with her two horses, Wesley, a retired Standard Bred and Jesse, an American Quarter Horse. Her constant companion is Rufus, a silly Golden Retriever who can sometimes be seen hanging out at the hospital. Residing in the beautiful Adirondacks, Dr. Buhrmaster enjoys long walks in the woods with Rufus, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and relaxing with a good book or knitting project.
